Our Mission
The mission of Care House is to prevent and reduce the incidence and
trauma of child sexual and physical abuse in Macomb County through
collaborative, multi-disciplinary and effective family-centered
services.
Program Components
Care House is a child-friendly, family-centered facility that
coordinates the complex investigation, prosecution, and treatment
services to victims of child sexual and physical abuse. The major
component of this program is the single investigative interview. All of
the professionals involved in a case gather at Care House to witness the
forensic interview. This eliminates the need for the child to repeat his
or her story and relive the trauma of the abuse over and over again.
Care House also offers support, information and educational programs to
child victims and their families to promote the healing process and
break the cycle of abuse in future generations.
