Care House offers services to help and support families dealing with the
trauma of child abuse. If you are a parent or caregiver concerned about
possible abuse to your child, Care House is available to assist your
family in a variety of ways. We offer:
- prompt, relevant responses to questions related to child abuse issues,
- crisis and emotional support, and
- connections to appropriate investigative agencies.
What are Care House's goals for helping children?
If a child is interviewed at Care House, we work hard to:
- provide a safe and supportive environment for the child to tell professionals their story.
- allow children and their families to understand their emotions related to the abuse.
- do the best job possible in helping to find out what may have happened.
- work with the legal system to help protect the child.
- help parents or caregivers understand the child protective and legal systems.
- make the process as comfortable as possible.
