How can Care House help parents who suspect their child may have been abused?

 Care House offers services to help and support families dealing with the trauma of child abuse. If you are a parent or caregiver concerned about possible abuse to your child, Care House is available to assist your family in a variety of ways. We offer:
  • prompt, relevant responses to questions related to child abuse issues
  • crisis and emotional support
  • connections to appropriate investigative agencies

  • Crisis intervention for children and families dealing with suspected abuse

What are Care House's goals for helping children?

If a child is interviewed at Care House, we work hard to:
  • provide a safe and supportive environment for the child to tell professionals their story
  • allow children and their families to understand their emotions related to the abuse
  • do the best job possible in helping to find out what may have happened
  • work with the legal system to help protect the child
  • help parents or caregivers understand the child protective and legal systems
  • make the process as comfortable as possible
  • provide support throughout the process
